My Final Clock

]

        The original idea of my clock was for it to look like a mini Grandfather clock, and I think that I have succeeded in creating a good-quality clock. My clock has a pendulum, and has the numbers 12, 3, 6, and 9. I also was able to overcome many difficulties, such as the front not fitting with the mechanism. I had to take apart my clock almost 3 times, and yet, I still did a good job in my opinion. One of my favorite parts of my clock is that one, it is unique, because I used wood stain. Also, to make my clock look antique, and would sand down the edges, so it looked older, and I thought that this was cool. Also, I free hand drew the numbers, and I think that they look good, so I think that my clock was a big success!

        What were some of the difficulties? Well, one of the biggest difficulties was that I had to take apart my clock three times, and this did delay me on how fast I was able to work. Also, before I painted the face of the clock, I had also cut out a circle, when I discovered that this would make the clock too thick, and this also delayed me. Another thing that could have been improved was that where the pendulum is swinging, it is actually in a frame, and this frame was very difficult to build, but I think that I did my best on it. One more thing was that when I was using the hinges for the back, it doesn’t close all the way, but it closes enough for me.
